Check Vehicle Fit

Dirt and even rust can enter the fuel stream at any point along the long journey from refinery to your vehicle’s fuel tank. So, your fuel filter becomes the final line of defense against damaging contaminants getting into your vehicle. Clean fuel, free from dirt particles and rust, is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of your vehicle. A tiny grain of dirt can clog injectors, leading to erratic performance and poor gas mileage. Clean fuel increases gas mileage and improves engine performance - and with the fluctuating cost of gas these days, that’s really important!

  • Defense against damaging contaminants

    Comments about Purolator Fuel Filter:

This is a replacement fuel filter, there is not much I can say about this item.

Diesel fuel filters are often the cause of poor performance and stalling. My old fuel filter was full of water, rust and dirt, replacement of both fuel filters restored a sudden loss of power.

Modern diesel fuel absorbs water and can form alge in the fuel tank and filters, this is a big problem for diesel owners. Add a biocide to your fuel to prevent this problem.

Remember to prime the filter before starting the engine. Some diesels are very hard to start if air gets in the fuel pump.
