Check Vehicle Fit

Dirt and even rust can enter the fuel stream at any point along the long journey from refinery to your vehicle’s fuel tank. So, your fuel filter becomes the final line of defense against damaging contaminants getting into your vehicle. Clean fuel, free from dirt particles and rust, is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of your vehicle. A tiny grain of dirt can clog injectors, leading to erratic performance and poor gas mileage. Clean fuel increases gas mileage and improves engine performance - and with the fluctuating cost of gas these days, that’s really important!

Product Features:
  • Defense against damaging contaminants
  • Helps increase gas mileage
  • Improves engine performance

Fuel Filter by Purolator For Toyota Truck 22R

What more can I say about this filter other than it is used in my Toyota pickup that is not fuel injected. The filter is fairly easy to install but the location of it does make for a messy job if you have a bunch of mud caked up in the location of the filter. It is basically on the frame rail to the right of the gas cap filler hose. It is just held in with a spring clamp so just pull out and then pull down to you. Remove the two clamps, then the hose and you ready to replace with the new one.

Only thing I found out though when I replaced mine is that that the factory rubber hose actually had a hole in it from rubbing so we were leaking gas and didn't know it.

The reason for not knowing it was because our tank had a hole in it and leaked at the seam if it was filled halfway so when we replaced the tank, we replaced the rubber lines since they all needed replacing it.

Very easy to put this filter in though if all you are doing is changing it out but if you have an older vehicle, I just thought I'd let you know of the issues you might have at some point.
