Check Vehicle Fit

Dirt and even rust can enter the fuel stream at any point along the long journey from refinery to your vehicle’s fuel tank. So, your fuel filter becomes the final line of defense against damaging contaminants getting into your vehicle. Clean fuel, free from dirt particles and rust, is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of your vehicle. A tiny grain of dirt can clog injectors, leading to erratic performance and poor gas mileage. Clean fuel increases gas mileage and improves engine performance - and with the fluctuating cost of gas these days, that’s really important!

Product Features:
  • Defense against damaging contaminants
  • Helps increase gas mileage
  • Improves engine performance

Comments about Purolator Fuel Filter:

I bought this fuel filter for my 1984 Dodge Royal W150 5.2L V8. My truck was losing lots of power and took off really slowly almost wanting to die out when you got on the gas. Now that I replaced the old fuel filter with a new one ive gained all that i lost back! Including better gas mileage and more horsepower. This fuel filter made a big difference and it pulls my racecar and trailer like nothing now! Definitely recommend changing your fuel filter to keep your truck running like new.

Hello Dcards. Happy to help. Typically fuel pressure is controlled by a regulator that is a separate part that is bolted to the fuel rail.

With reference to your query on Purolator Fuel Filter part# F20030, the fuel filter is located inside the frame just ahead of the rear axleon the passenger side, inside the the gas tank, part of the fuel pump module on your 1983 Dodge Ram. It is usually located under the hood, usually attached to the firewall. Follow the fuel line from the gas tank and run into it.
