Hi Wes! Since you don't mention the specific year of the vehicle, it's hard to say the location. To give you the correct information I would need the year and engine size of the vehicle.

  • Q:

I'm ready for the first oil change on my 2012 Ram C/V 3.6L. Having changed my own oil for nearly 40 years, this will be my first cartridge type filter. Where, exactly, is the filter located on my vehicle?
Asked on 9/3/2012 by Skitzy from Crofton, MD

    1 answer

The oil filter on your 2012 Dodge Ram 3.6L is located right in the front top of the engine. It is the black plastic thing with a hex nut on top in front of the engine cover.
