    I only drive this car about 1,500 miles per year. Is this filter good for two years between changes or will the fibers in the paper element break down before that length of time

      This Purolator Classic Oil Filter - Part No. L30141 is a PremiumPLUS filtering media which removes 10-20-micron-sized particles under actual driving conditions. Every Purolator filter meets or exceeds engine manufacturers requirements. Multi-fiber, high-density media which filters out harmful contaminants. Internally lubricated Nitrile gasket that requires less torque for filter removal. Anti-drainback valve** minimizes engine dry start. Change the oil and oil filter every 3000 miles or as specified by the manufacturer, changing the oil without changing the filter can leave up to a quart of dirty oil to be re-circulated into the engine.
