Having changed the oil on my vehicles for some 20 years now, I have never been so disappointed with a filter. A product made in the U.S.A. nonetheless. I spent 20 minutes vainly attempting to get the threads of this Purolator Classic filter started on a 2005 Toyota Sienna. Thinking I may have ordered the wrong one I went back to the website to double-check. It was the right one. Since I started the oil change after ours, I ended up making a late night run to W-mart to get a Fram Extra Guard. It took all of 15 seconds to thread the Fram completely to the engine. I put the Purolator where it belongs, in the trash.

Comments about Purolator Classic Oil Filter:

Look at it really well before you buy it. They changed some things when they went to red can. Look into the center tube inside it. instead of holes there are little slits. Not sure I would want to trust that, but it's up to you. Just my humble opinion.

I have been using this Oil Filter L10241 on my Riding Mower w/B&S engine for over 5 years !!

Little taller than the B&S filter, but a little exttra oil in the engine is a good thing.

And costs less than 1/2 of B&S filters.
