Comments about Purolator Cabin Air Filter:

The OE that was taken out was more durable then this one. Only gave 1 star because of cost and easy of installment, otherwise I would've gone with a better quality one. Also this one does not have carbon filtration as the original that was taken out. Next time I would install a car manufacture's version instead, even though it might cost more.

Comments about Purolator Cabin Air Filter:

Replaced OEM VW product with this and found it to be very flimsy compared to the OEM. I wouldn't consider it near the same quality, so I was wondering how it meets OEM requirements. It was easy to install and it fit like it should. The filter element was about half the thickness as the OEM. Since this replacement requires quite a bit of work to get to it I would recommend using the OEM version or finding another replacement that is more comparable to the OEM. I was able to save money by buying this product, but in the long run I would look for a better quality one.

Cheaply made part. Should have been better made for the price. Half the pleats of the one it replaced. Not expecting it to last long before it gets clogged up. Would have returned but no others in stock and car was going back to college tomorrow. Next time will order a different filter online before it needs replacing. Would not buy this one again.

It's better than no filter. Great budget filter but for they long run spend the extra money and get a carbon filter.

Comments about Purolator Cabin Air Filter:

This is a very basic filter. It does not have activated carbon, but it seems to be pretty effective at filtering the cabin air. If you are looking for a top of the line filter, this isn't it. If you are looking for a cheap replacement that will do the job and be light on the wallet, this is it!

Fit well, But cheaply made with perhaps half the pleats (material) of the Napa Gold cabin filter it replaced. I expect it to get dirty in half the time. Box claims the filter material has charcoal, but it was not the least bit apparent.

This is probably as bad as it gets. Fortunately it still does it's job, but not that well.

I've handled some good filters, and this one just can't compete. I recommend a five-layer filter instead.
