Comments about Purolator Cabin Air Filter:

This cabin air filter fits both a Mustang and a Thunderbird, and the instructions given are for both. However, for the Mustang, you do NOT have to remove the wipers and the entire cowl in order to replace this filter, you can just undo the plastic clips, raise the front of the cowl, and slide the old filter out and the new on in place. It's also a good idea to vacuum out the cavity where the filter goes, just so that it's clean as well. I don't know about instructions for the Thunderbird, but the Mustang instructions have you do a lot more work to replace this than you need to.

            A:

It's up under the plastic cowl in front of the windshield, on the passenger side. To get at it:

Shut the car of with the windshield wipers in the "up" position.

Raise the hood. At tthe back you'll see the plastic cowl with air vents right in front of the windshield.

Remove the plastic push pin type fasteners at the front of the cowl (you only need to do this on the passenger side)

Lift the cowl panel off. You can see the filter from there (located behind the batttery).
