Comments about Purolator Cabin Air Filter:

Product is a waste of money, and as good as not having filters at all.
Not made like they the officially supposed to be with plastic casing and foam to seal between the 2 filters and the filter well.
Instead this product is cheap loose fit and gives lots of room for dirt ant contamination to come thru.
JUST DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS PRODUCT!!

Comments about Purolator Cabin Air Filter:

The darker color in the photo suggests these filters have a plastic casing similar to the original filters in the vehicle. In fact, they are plain white fuzzy, flimsy filters with slightly stiff sides. The lack of casing makes a poor fit with lots of airspace around the edges, delivering potentially harmful airborne contaminants to passengers via the car's ventilation system. The original filter's casing is lined on all sides with a 1/2" foam strip to ensure a snug fit in the housing. It seems as if Purolator has dumbed down the original filter so that naive customers, pleased with the ease of installation, will be happy to replace their filters sooner, boosting sales. I will avoid this brand in the future and I would advise others to do the same.

                A:

Instructions for replacing the cabin air filter:
                1. Open the Tran Sport's glove box and locate the outer heater access panel -- a roughly 3-by-6 inch panel in the back of the glove box.
                2. Pull up on the tab on the base of the outer heater access panel and pull it from the glove box, exposing the inner heater access door. Squeeze the locking tab on the left side of the door and open it. This exposes the cabin air filters behind the access door.
                3. Grab the first cabin air filter and pull it straight from the heater access hole. Reach through the heater access hole, grab the second cabin air filter and pull it out. Take note of the positioning of the sealing foam around the perimeter of the filters. You must position this foam the same way on the new filters.
                4. Slide the first cabin air filter into the heater access hole until it fully seats. Slide the second cabin air filter into the heater access hole.
                5. Close the inner heater access door. Listen for the tabs to click into place.
                6. Set the outer heater access panel in place over the inner heater access door and press it to lock it in place.
