Comments about Project Pro Jumper Cables:

My battery was out in the morning and I tried to jump start with this cable from my neighbor's car.
I have Hyundai XG350 and my neighbor have Toyota 4Runner. The power should be enough to start my V6 engine.
I never used this cable, but it didn't work.
However, my neighbor's cable, which looks toughter and more expensive, worked perfect at first shot.
      Buy other cable.
This cable is just waste of money.
I just wasted 30 minutes in the morning because of this cable.

Certainly not the best on the market, but they do work. Nice set to keep in your trunk for emergency use, but definietely not for everyday or heavy use.

Comments about Project Pro Jumper Cables:

The wire and clamps are too thin to carry the current to jump a car battery. Tried to use them from Jeep (good battery) to small nissan truck (dead battery) and no go. Another friend showed up with big fat jumper cables and they worked fine. After some research on cable gauge/sizes, I see that these cables are a better fit for a lawnmower or maybe motorcycle. But I wouldn't trust them for anything at all.

                    A:

Hi Patrick, glad to assist you! This Project Pro Jumper Cables (Part No. 1948) is universal and not vehicle specific. This 100 amp 14 gauge 8 ft long cable feature red and black insulated clamps for easy identification, and their rubber coated cables are tangle-free. It is ideal for all-weather use. For more information, I would suggest that you contact the manufacturer directly at 800-426-1262 and they would be in a better position to help you.

How come when it comes to ga and size the answers have differed? I just bought these based on it saying they were 14ga and 18ft long. They are maybe 10ga and only about 7ft long. I walked 2 miles to get these and cannot even use them.

                    A:

I'm happy to help, Bob! It certainly sounds like you have had a difficult time with these Project Pro Jumper Cables (Part No. 1948). I have gotten the specifications directly from the manufacturer, these cables are 14ga and 8 feet long. Typically, thicker gauge cables (numerically lower) will be able to have a longer distance. AutoCraft Jumper Cable, 16' (6 Gauge) (Part No. AC122/A7861641) or AutoCraft Booster Cables, Heavy-Duty, 4 Gauge, 20' (Part No. AC121/A7842041) may work better for your application.
