Rolled the dice on this inexpensive set to remove two 3/4" snap rings on a mower shaft. The set worked perfectly, no bending or breaking of the tips. Appreciated the set flexibility with multiple heads in straight and angled options. I needed to change the handle setting from an external to internal snap ring and it took only seconds (and no instruction). Although the tool is cheaply made, it is more than adequate for small home projects. Snap ring removal is certainly not something you do everyday, but when you need to, this type of tool handles the job effectively.

Weak design for larger snap rings

Bought the product to remove a large snap ring. Broke one attachment and bent another before grinding down an old pair of pliers and using them to get the job done.

Hot garbage

Comments about Project Pro 5-Piece Snap Ring Pliers Set:

Flimsy and poorly designed. Even when I could get the dang thing to hold steady it wouldn't spread the snap ring far enough for my ball joint.

This thing is useless. It's too bulky to even fit inside my wheel hub to remove the clip. Now I have a useless tool, a truck on a jack, and no vehicle to get to the correct tool.
      Thanks for nothing advance.

Comments about Project Pro 5-Piece Snap Ring Pliers Set:

The item was available at the location because it had been returned previously. However, after examining the item, it was apparent that nothing was physically damaged. The item is just cheaply made and does not function as any mechanic would desire. I believe for this reason, the store no longer carries this product. I would recommend spending a little more money by buying a superior product to avoid the frustration that you will encounter if you buy this set and find out that it will not work for you while you are in the midst of completing your desired work.

              • Q:

Is there a snap ring plier smaller than 3/8"? I am trying to remove the snap ring from a PRHT latch on a Mazda Miata, and the smallest 3/8" setting on my plier is just a hair to big to fit into the grooves.

                  A:

No, this is the only size of snap ring pliers we offer online. I would recommend visiting a local Advance Auto Parts store where they may carry a smaller size.
