              Hi,
This product helps if your transmission only reaches up to 2nd gear, or it neutralizes itself if you intend to drive and the "check engine light" comes up. Take it to get scanned if it appears transmission solenoid pack this is it. Buy this product. It will help you avoid further, more expensive replacement of transmission.

Comments about Pro-King Automatic Transmission Solenoid:

If you are a Plymouth Breeze owner and are having major shifting problems, READ THIS REVIEW:--------------------------------------------------For the last 5 1/2 years, my Plymouth Breeze had major problems shifting out of 2nd gear. After long highway trips or heavy local driving (both without resting the car), my transmission would only be able to work in 2nd, Reverse, Park, or Neutral. I would then have to complete the rest of my trips by shutting off the car and resetting the transmission (but even then the transmission would screw up). The only way to get rid of the problem, other than fixing the car, is to let the car rest.--------------------------------------------------So, if this problem occurs to you more often than not, definitely consider buying this product. I promise you that this would be one of the best [$] investments that you'll ever make.

Hi John, I'm glad to assist you! This is a A604 41TE transmission solenoid with 1 gasket. This A604 41TE transmission solenoid replaces all early design solenoids. The steel spacer plate is not required with this updated design, install the gasket between the solenoid and transmission case. It replaces the OEM # 5140429AA.

Hi Chuck, To get more specific information on the location of this part would recommend purchasing a Chilton or Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle, not only will it show the location and also explain how to install, but you'll find it handy for many more projects on your vehicle. The repair manual part number is 30011.

                  A:

With reference to your inquiry on the Pro-King Automatic Transmission Solenoid -part# 52-0217, the transmission solenoid on your Dodge Grand Caravan would be bolted to the side of the transmission, as you look at the transmission in the van you will see the dipstick, behind that is a black plastic cover with a bunch of wires going into it, its under that cover. However, I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts. My 1998 Sebring JXI won't up-shift. I'm getting P0700 Transmission Control (MIL Request) and P0755 Shift Solenoid B codes. Does this sound like this solenoid pack is the problem?
Asked on 7/24/2013 by Grizzzz from Barkhamsted, CT

                1 answer

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

With reference to your inquiry on the Pro-King Automatic Transmission Solenoid - part# 52-0217, the code P0755 is for the 2/4 clutch's solenoid control circuit. This code can be caused by the solenoid; its control wire being open or shorted anywhere between the transmission control module and the transmission, or it could be the controller itself. The P0700 sets in the engine controller when there is a code stored in the transmission controller. This one will always be set when there is a transmission problem and its only function is to turn on the engine light (MIL request). You could try checking the resistance of the 2/4 solenoid circuit at the TCM. There aren't published resistance readings, but I believe they are normally at about 2-4 ohms. You can compare it to the low/reverse, under drive and overdrive solenoids. If the resistance was out of range then you know you have a wiring or solenoid problem to narrow down. The most accurate way to diagnose it is with a scan tool and transmission simulator. This would rule out connections, wiring, and TCM all in one shot and be able to condemn the solenoid pack. The 2/4 solenoid applies the 2/4 clutch. It's located in the solenoid pack on top the valve body, along with all other solenoids and pressure switches. However, without the presence of the vehicle we could neither diagnose the problem nor provide you with a 100% answer. I would suggest you to get assistance from a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. For any further assistance, you may also call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

There are actually two sensors in the transmission on your Dodge Caravan . An input speed sensor and an output speed sensor. They are both located on the left side of the transmission closest to the radiator. The input speed sensor is the one closest to the engine and the output is the further of the two to the engine. First, you need to scan the vehicle for trouble codes (DTC - Diagnostic Trouble Code) to see if a solenoid is bad, If it is, than you need to purchase a new solenoid to repalce the discarded one.
