I have a 02 Buick Rendezvous 2WD with a 4T65 transmission, the old TC code is FLHB 2420, signifying a woven carbon friction plate, I wanted to know if that is what the plate in this TC is made of.

Hello Phil, happy to help with that question you had. According to the research I did the friction plates will be made of the same material as OE. And the torque converter is fluid balanced by the manufacturer as well.

  • Q:

How much transmissmision fluid does it take to fill the converter? The Haynes manual only gives the amount for just the transmission.
