Comments about Pro-King Automatic Transmission Remanufactured Torque Converter:

I had to replace my existing torque converter because one of the bolts was broken. I was also unsure of the stall rating.

So I replaced it with this unit, it works as it should and was easy to install. There were no burrs or rough spots on the snout, it was clean and painted nicely. The stall is a bit higher than the stated RPM but that could be because of my engine/trans setup and not the converter itself.

The core return to the store was no problem. The free shipping to my house was also very fast, 3 days in fact.

Hi Hawriverscot, glad to assist you! This Pro-King Automatic Transmission Remanufactured Torque Converter (Part No. GM3) does not include the seal. A:

With reference to your inquiry on Pro-King Automatic Transmission Torque Converter - Part No. GM3 the Torque Converter Lockup only applies to cars with automatic transmissions. These are usually 12" converters that have a lock up clutch in them. Modified versions can have a stall speed of 2600-2800 rpm, depending on the construction. The lockup clutch is engaged under light throttle situations (cruise), which allows for greater efficiency, less heat generation and slightly better mpg. Lockups are an added part inside the torque converter, which works by introducing a check against slippage. Older transmissions didn't have lockups, and were, therefore, less accurate and efficient. I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic to check the type of torque converter on your vehicle. For further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store.
