Q:does the torque converter rotate when transmission is in park?
A:With reference to your inquiry on the Pro-King Automatic Transmission Remanufactured Torque Converter - part# CR73, in "park" or "neutral" all of the clutch, brake etc in the automatic transmission are disenganged. So the turbine of the torque converter spins freely. When you engage the transmission while you press the brake, the turbine stops turning and start turning gradually when the vehicle start running by releasing the brake. Turbine shaft is connected to the input shaft of the transmission system and the transmission system connects or disconnects the output shaft to the turbine.
