"aircraft" paint remover - if water paint...

By

from orlando fl

Pros

  • The Can Appeared Full

Cons

  • 15-30 Min Did Not Work
  • Expected Paint To Bubble
  • Left A "snotty" Mess

Best Uses

  • Leaving It On The Shelf

Comments about Prep-All Aircraft Paint Remover:

removed headers from vehicle (there were relatively new headers). Headers come with basic paint to keep them from rusting, not a finished product. Coated each header with the aerosol product. waited about 30 min. Began using a scrubbey to remove the paint seeing how it did not bubble off. After 10 min of dealing with the snotty product, I washed the headers and decided to find a good brand of stripper that will work. The headers still paint remaining on them

Comments about Prep-All Aircraft Paint Remover:

I applied a HEAVY layer to a fender, and waited up to an hour in some spots and MAYBE the clearcoat came off. There are no noticeable differences and paint is still there. I did heavy layers and multiple coasts and could not remove anything. Buy the gel not the spray.

    Works well

    By

Comments about Prep-All Aircraft Paint Remover:

Used to strip multiple paint layers from a plastic golf cart body. Says on the can not to use on plastic but with the type of plastic the golf cart uses did not have any issues. Wished I had used it sooner.

    VERY WEAK PAINT STRIPPER

    By

    from Atlanta, Ga

Comments about Prep-All Aircraft Paint Remover:

I used this to strip the pain off of an old radiator fan. I sprayed 1 coat and let it sit for 15 minutes, like the can said. Came back and none of the paint had blistered up so I applied a second, heavier coat. Still no results. I could have removed the paint more effectively with a sharpened popsicle stick!!

Not strong enough, use the quart cans.

Comments about Prep-All Aircraft Paint Remover:

Purchased two cans to do a hood . Had plenty of coverage but this stuff did not do anything but remove clear coat. Purchased same product in the liquid quart can and paint virtually fell off. Also used it on the cab and clear and paint bubbled up and peeled off nicely. Stay away from the aerosol. Not worth the money at all!

      • Powder Coat Removal

Comments about Prep-All Aircraft Paint Remover:

I was looking for a product that would help me remove powder coat. I have tried sand blasting and it wouldn't touch it. Someone recommended this stuff on YouTube. I was amazed at how it worked. After I sprayed it on it only took 15 min and I could scrape the powder coat off with a plastic squeegee. If you leave the product on the powder coat dries and won't come off easily. You will have go reapply.
