      A:

I'm happy to help, Dustin! The black side (pressure seal) faces the inside of the steering gear towards the teeth. For more information, I recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

  • Q:

I recently asked for a verification of the ID (.375 inch)
of this part and was told that .375 inch was correct.

I purchased this part and the specification is clearly wrong (the ID is over 1 inch).

Why were you not able to provide the correct information?

  • Q:

I have a 1993 F150. I have removed the pit-man arm and made a rough measurement of the OUTPUT SHAFT that connects to the pit-man arm. It is about 1.250 inches. The ID of this seal is listed at .375 inch.

Can you verify the accuracy of this information?
