Worked Great

Comments about Powercraft Pump Complete Rebuild Kit:

I decided to go with this instead of OEM. Good decision as it is readily available so no waiting for parts and price is great. O-rings in kit for back cover were thin looking but maybe that's cuz the old ones were flattened out over time. Don't know cuz nothing to compare with. Have run it for a few months now no leaks whatsoever.

If you don't know what you're doing like me, you need to study real hard on how to take this apart and get it back together. I broke off some internal pump body and had to JB Weld it back together. Also took it apart again when I found I put the valve body in backwards (hard to tell if you don't set it aside exactly as it came out).

Tips:

Use a rubber hammer to get back cover off and don't be afraid to hit it hard. Don't use a punch or anything to go through the holes in the cover to "push" the pump out of the cover.

Take out the stuff and lay it down exactly as it came out like left to right and orientation as it came out.

I did not use the shaft sleeve. I have a feeling this is not used very much.

There is some slight play in and out and I haven't had any problems so I figure this is normal. Upon taking apart didn't look like there was any wear that would cause this.

Unsatisfied

Comments about Powercraft Pump Complete Rebuild Kit:

I ordered the kit online and picked up in the store to save a few dollars. It would have been nice if the clerk had told me I was going to need a special tool to take the pulley off the pump. Meant another trip on bike to the store. Regardless, the kit was in poor shape. The rubber almost looked dry rotted and the metal seal for the shaft had a little corrosion. All in a new unsealed package. The images in the instructions are microscopic. If you have the $, buy a new pump but make sure you borrow the tool to switch out the pulley.

Comments about Powercraft Pump Complete Rebuild Kit:

This rebuild kit includes a pump shaft bushing in the event the original needs replacement. It also includes two sets of o-ring seals; a set for the updated pump, and a set for the older model. The instructions are well detailed and easy to follow; however, since my eyes aren't what they used to be, I needed my reading glasses to see the small font.

I ordered the kit online and picked it up at the local Advanced Auto Parts an hour later.
