Q:Does this bearing kit replace the input shaft side, this is below the the steering knuckle for my 1998 dodge/dakota rack and pinion system, does this kit have any kind of seal above the bearing. I have a leak at this point. ???
A:Yes, this part fits your 1998 Dodge Dakota. This bearing sits inside the rack assembly tube. The function of this bearing is to keep the inner tie rod shafts moving in and out in a straight line.
Q:Does this bearing sit inside the rack assembly tube,1 bearing per side, right? This parts job is to keep the inner tie rod shafts moving in and out in a straight line,I think? I believe this is the cause of my current steering problem. Any general knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks
