Non-performing pump

Comments about Powerbuilt Tools Vacuum Pump & Brake Bleeding Kit (22 Piece):

Got the tool to use with radiator kit to fill Ford cooling system. Pump would not pump up any pressure nor create any vacuum - at least not enough to show on the gauge. The unit was worthless. Returned the loaner set to the store and used something else.

Comments about Powerbuilt Tools Vacuum Pump & Brake Bleeding Kit (22 Piece):

This is a very good tool for testing vacuum components and for bleeding brakes, especially after replacing brake caliper(s) and/or master brake cylinder. Perfect tool for bleeding a brake system if you work alone. This tool can be used to create a vacuum or to "push" fluid from the brake caliper to the master cylinder especially from the rear wheel calipers (longest run to master cylinder). I used this to bleed the brakes on my 1988 Mercedes 300E. I like it so much that I have decided to purchase one.

Comments about Powerbuilt Tools Vacuum Pump & Brake Bleeding Kit (22 Piece):

Got the pump to bleed my brakes, but it doesn't work. It couldn't develop a enough vacuum to pull the brake fluid through. I gave up and returned it. I'm going to try one of the Mightyvac.

where can i get parts for this tester?

          A:

Happy to help you with your question Trennis! Our stores carry the fittings hoses and some plungers for this vacuum pump kit so if you can pin point the failed part you should be able to find it at your local store. If it is not available the part does have a Limited Lifetime Replacement warranty so if you have your receipt our store can possibly replace it.

      • Q:

How does the warranty work on this? Is it like a Craftsman tool where if it stops functioning at any time I can just return it? Would I have to mail it back or could I just return it to the store for a replacement? I don't abuse my tools, but the warranty is a consideration before I purchase one and I want a product that lasts since I am comparing this to a Mityvac which can be rebuilt.

        Thank you.
