    Coating damages easily

Should stay rust free longer than standard steel line. Would be nice to have longer coils available.
The plastic coating damages easily if not very careful forming, bending, and during installation.

This 3/16 brake line worked well on a 1997 chevrolet silverado 4x4 extended cab pickup truck. i used it to replace the rear axle brake lines from the distribution block to each wheel cylinder. The line was easily bend and double flare to create a factory line fit with the advantage of the PVF coating to prevent the rust issues of the factory steel lines. This is also a cheap alternative for people with mechanical skills to eliminate a design flaw by chevrolet by not using coated brake lines from factory.

Good for long lengths,WITHOUT unions.Just be sure to use a GOOD flairing tool and tubing bender.I'm curious to see how well it holds up this winter, with the ice, snow and rock salt. I ALWAYS power wash the chassis, several times during and after seasonal changes.

If you have a bad break line do yourself a favor just replace the whole line buy the time you get done buying unions and trying to flare old lines you can have one solid line front to back the way it ment to be. Breaks are nothing to mess with do it right.

I ended up not using this brake line because my cheapo flaring tool could not produce a usable flare; they all came out lop-sided. I ended up using pre-flared Nicopp lines...the off-the-shelf lengths were close enough to what I needed & they were easy to hand-form...

Some modifications may be required for proper installation. Currently, the exact brake line coil for your vehicle is unavailable online. I would suggest that you visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store to check the availability of this part.

For basic brake line work, one of the tools you will need is a set of wrenches (two). A tube cutter is another handy brake line tool. If you have a small tube cutter, you can buy metal brake lines and cut them down to the size you need. It keeps the end of the cut clean, with minimal fraying. If there is some fraying or jagged material on the edge of the new cut, a small metal file can easily smooth it out. If you are doing more complicated work on your brake lines, like flaring then you will need flaring tool. Brake line flaring is a process that adds a flare to the end of the brake line to ensure a leak-proof connection. Flaring makes the tubing wider at the end. Because the tubing is wider at this point, the connection can slip in deeper and more easily.
