Happy to help you David. The automatic transmission shifter has a mechanism that needs to be depressed in order to shift gears. This shift knob does not have the component to receive the shifting mechanism.

This shift knob is made for a manual transmission. If your car is not a manual transmission this shift knob will not work on your vehicle.

    • A:

actually this will work in an automatic vehicle. it works with manual and automatic and has instructions for both. trust me i just installed it into my automatic camaro. it looks like it would only be manual because there is no release button but the whole thing is actually spring loaded and you push the whole knob down to switch gears.
