Comments about Permatex Super High Tack Gasket Sealant (1.75 oz):

Great product that works very well. I've previously used small dabs of RTV to keep valve cover gaskets from falling off of covers while reinstalling, but High Tack works much more effectively. It apples easily, gets tacky quickly, and holds gaskets well in place. At the same time, it doesn't dry in such a way that it becomes permanent or difficult to remove.

My tube of High Tack had a tiny pin hole near the bottom that leaked the material any time I tried to use it. I managed to fold the tube from the bottom enough times to sort of stop the leak.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      Permatex® Super High Tack Gasket Sealant is a Fast-drying sealant dries to a highly tacky, non-brittle film. Temperature range -65°F to 500°F (-54°C to 260°C); resists gasoline, oil, antifreeze, axle lube. Suggested Applications: Seals rubber, cork, paper and composite gaskets and hose connections. Permatex® Super “300” Form-A-Gasket Sealant is a Non-hardening sealant designed to resist heat transfer fluids such as oil or antifreeze. Temperature range -65°F to 400°F (-54°C to 204°C); resists antifreeze, aviation fuels, high-detergent oils and lubricants. Suggested Applications: Valve cover gaskets, compressors, diesel engine heads.
