Worked real good on valve cover gasket. Did not work on thermostat gasket. leaked 3 different times. They make a special product for antifreeze. DOES NOT WORK WITH ANTIFREEZE>

Used on transmission pan gasket.
APPLIED TO BOTH SIDES OF THE NEW RUBBER GASKET WITH ALL CLEAN SURFACES.
AFTER ADDING (ATF4 )TRANS FLUID IT LEAKED!
REPEATED ENTIRE PROCESS AND ADDED EVEN MORE BLUE SEALANT, WAITED 2HOURS FOR DRYING AND ADDED FLUID AGAIN.....SLILL LEAKS!! TIGHTEN BOLETS DOWN SPME MORE....STILL SEEPING AND SEALED SEEMS TO BE TAKY TO THE TOUCH.

I WONT BE USING THIS ANYMORE. IF I CANT DEPEND ON THE VERSATILITY AND QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT TO KEEP SIMPLE JOBS SIPLE, I DONT NEED IT.

What can I really say, it is Blue RTV, I've been using it for years and have never had it fail on me when used as instructed. Permatex makes different colors of RTV and other products for different applications, when the right product is used for the right application it works great. The only time I've ever seen it fail was when someone didn't follow the instruction of cleaning prep and allowing proper curing time. However I myself have cut corners and cheated a little in past situations, but still ended up with good results. It's not meant to replace a gasket in most applications, but to be used as additional gasket sealing.

I used this for the gasket for my rear diff. It worked perfectly!

I am a DIY mechanic and I watch youtube videos for info on basic auto repair/maintenance. Every video recommended RTV. I have never used it before and I worried that I wouldn't get it thick enough or that it would leak and I would have to do it again. It worked perfectly the first time!

I also used it to seal a leak in a paint ball gun. The one of the thread in fittings on expansion chamber of my pb gun was leaking and teflon didn't fix it so I spread this on the threads and the leak is fixed. That shows that it can withstand the several hundred PSI of co2 (an extremely small molecule).

It's right up there with Duct Tape & WD 40 as a fix-all in my book.

Just peal back the large side that covers 3/4 of the 1/4" and place it on tranny pan with the covered side up once the side of the silicone is TAC free peal the remainder off and bolt pan in place-tock to specifics if you wont the pan to be removable allow top to become TAC free then the silicone will be stuck to the pan for future removal. Comes in 1/8"-1/4"-1/2"-& now 3/4" round or Square
