Comments about Permatex PermaPoxy 30-Minute High-Strength General-Purpose Epoxy (.84 oz):

This product did not set in 30 mins as claimed. I had parts clamped, used the product as recommended and after removing the clamps in 45 mins I found myself RE-clamping the parts to wait longer. The bond is OK, but give yourself some real time to let the parts bond and some additional time to dry.

      • Q:

I need to attach a funnel like piece of plastic to the inside of my motorcycle primary cover. the plastic is used to divert the hot oil to the sprocket. the primary cover is cast aluminum. The dealer recommends "Maxlok mx/t6" adhesive at $50.00. Will this epoxy do the same job?

Hi Shawn, it sounds like a great job! Permatex recommends selecting the OE specified adhesive. The OE understands the chemical composition of the plastic component. The adhesive they have selected functions well with the composition of that particular plastic.

Is this strong and durable enough to reattach the corners of a plastic bumper to the metal of the car where the clip/clamp is broken by the wheel well?

It may work, but since the cooling system is pressurized, I highly recommend just replacing the radiator itself.
