This stuff is great. If ever I need to drive into the Sun that 1600 Fahrenheit limit, will help.

In all seriousness, always USE THIS. Over time if you have really good spark plugs, like Iridium. They can get seized to the block. This prevents that when you need to or want to replace them. This also prevents corrosion against the block.

        USE THIS.

Comments about Permatex Counterman's Choice Anti-Seize Lubricant:

When you change out the plugs on your Ford Modular engine, or for that matter, any engine that has aluminum heads, this is a "Must Have". Yeah I know, they always push the little packet at the counter, and sometimes it is a little pricey, but you can buy the tube much cheaper if you are one like me that services all his own vehicles. If you are one who has one vehicle and don't work that much on cars, the packet purchase is for you!
I don't insert any bolt in the head or block without this stuff, aluminum and steel don't get along over a period of time and this compound eliminates a lot of issues.
NOTE: If you have an engine that has aluminum heads, DON'T try to change out plugs or other items with the engine is still hot. In the case of spark plugs, strip a thread on that aluminum head, and your $12.00 project becomes a $1,200.00 dollar project, let it cool overnight, and change plugs in the AM while it is still cool outside, just my advice.

Works great. Contains enough for a full set of spark plugs.
I thought I was ordering a TUBE of anti-s. lube. Guess I didn't read well enough. This is really a single use packet normally displayed by the cash register.

Comments about Permatex Counterman's Choice Anti-Seize Lubricant:

Counterman's Choice Anti-Seize Lubricant by Permatex is one product that is required in every mechanics garage. It is a simple and low cost solution to prevent many problems that are guaranteed to arise in the future if you forget to apply anti-seize lubricant. This product is available in many sizes. It should be used every time you change spark-plugs to prevent the spark plugs from permanently matting with the head. It should also be used in other threaded nut or bolt locations. If you forget this crucial step, you may end up with stripped threads or broken parts. My recommendation is to purchase a spare packet to keep on hand for when needed. Just a small quantity will do in most applications.

Comments about Permatex Counterman's Choice Anti-Seize Lubricant:

I use this when I replace my spark plugs. Some people say do not use anti-seize, some do. Just make sure you don't use too much. "A dab'll do ya." Too much and you may lose friction when trying to correctly torque your plugs.
