When you change out the plugs on your Ford Modular engine, or for that matter, any engine that has aluminum heads, this is a "Must Have". Yeah I know, they always push the little packet at the counter, and sometimes it is a little pricey, but you can buy the tube much cheaper if you are one like me that services all his own vehicles. If you are one who has one vehicle and don't work that much on cars, the packet purchase is for you!
I don't insert any bolt in the head or block without this stuff, aluminum and steel don't get along over a period of time and this compound eliminates a lot of issues.
NOTE: If you have an engine that has aluminum heads, DON'T try to change out plugs or other items with the engine is still hot. In the case of spark plugs, strip a thread on that aluminum head, and your $12.00 project becomes a $1,200.00 dollar project, let it cool overnight, and change plugs in the AM while it is still cool outside, just my advice.
