I haven't used it yet (not from this bottle anyways) because I bought it just to have it on the shelf for when I actually need it. But the bottle was only 2/3 full!

I wonder if Permatex fills them all to this level? Or did I get the one bottle that happens to be less filled than it should have been?

The bottle has been sitting on my kitchen table since I bought it. I keep thinking that I will take it back to the store and ask them to compare its fill level with some of the other bottles on the shelf -- to be sure I got what I paid for -- but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

The container was about 3/4 full. The brush is somewhat big and therefore it gets missy. I think it is overpriced.

this product has been around a long time and I have used it for a long time. This is a must for new cars and trucks as many are now using aluminum heads. Good for other parts that you want to get apart again some day.

Permetex Anti-seize is good stuff! Very good to use on the back side of rotors to prevent them from sticking to the hub, also use on the front of rotors to prevent aluminum wheels from sticking to the hub. Very good for chassis parts that are prone to rust.

              Comments about Permatex Anti-Seize Lubricant:

This is a great product to use on the threaded items. I found it useful to ensure my spark plugs do not become bound due to the large fluxuations in heat on the threaded surface and to keep the various bolts on my work equipment do not become bound resulting in stripped bolt and screw heads.

I decided on the bottled version of this product due to the ease of container storage. I do not like have tubes of lubricant and other such chemicals in my work area. A jar tends to be easier to seal and maintain.

The brush which is built into the inside of the cap could be a little better quality. I wold have liked to have all the bristles going in the same general direction. The brush inside this jar looks like it has been rammed too many times into a rough concrete sidewalk.

                Comments about Permatex Anti-Seize Lubricant:

I replaced two sets of spark plugs and used this anti-seize lubricant for both jobs. I bought the bigger size instead of the smaller size (it's much better value with the bigger size, especially since I'm planning on using it many times). In addition to using these on spark plugs, I've also applied them on all the nuts/bolts i've removed.

Keep in mind when using anti-seize nuts and if you are planning to use a torque wrench to it; it will mess with the true torque reading. I read somewhere, the anti-seize will cause the torque reading be off by 20. For example; if the torque for spark plugs needs to be 15ft/lb, with anti-seize, they'll need to be torqued to around 12ft/lb instead of 15ft/lb.

As a person who does almost all of his own auto repair work I got tired of buying small tubes of anti-seize, then having the tubes split when you squeeze them and end up with it all over your hands. The built-in brush used with the 8 oz container does not always make application the easiest but it is light years better then the little aluminum tubes. For years I have been using anti-seize every time I rotate tires on the wheel hups to prevent the alloy rims from sticking to the brake rotors.

Is this stuff OK to use on the bolts that hold the front brake caliper bracket to the steering knuckle? This has always been a hard to remove bolt on my wife’s car and I always wind up buying new bolts due to the extreme measures used to get them off. I use the shop manuals torque spec when installing. The concern is if the bolts could back off if they are lubed with this when installed. They have a lock washer.
