every new car I get, I remove the spark plugs and coat the threads with ant-seize compound. most cars claim 100k spark plug service life, which is great, but the threads have a tendency to corrode after being in so long. breaking a spark plug off is a real pain.

This Anti-Seize Lubricant is a must have for any DIY home tool box...maintenance shop too. Especially when working with harware that lives in high temperature environments i.e brakes, engine complnents, etc. I used this Anti-seize during a recent timing belt change on a Honda civic...it is just good practice and ensures that when/if you have to remove components int he future your not busting your knuckles trying to brake loose a seized bolt. We use a similar product for aircraft engines [high heat] and if you have ever gone behihnd someone who did not use anti sieze for engine plugs you will quickly learn the value of takeing a few minutes to apply the anti seize....

You should be able to apply a little to the threads as well as some to the "stem" of the spark plug so that the spark plug wire boot does not get stuck on the spark plug.
