I used it to patch and replace carpet and headliner. At first, I didn't follow the instructions and of course it failed. Then I read them and did as it suggested and WOW it works! Put the headliner and carpet in last summer and it's still holding! Be sure to coat both items you plan on sticking together and let it stand a few minutes and then boom! DONE! Good stuff.

This part Permatex All-Purpose Spray Adhesive, Part No. 82019/E451 is an all-purpose, pressure sensitive, spray adhesive that allows both permanent and repositionable bonding., PRODUCT BENEFITS: • Fast tack, • Resists water and humidity, • Repositionable or permanent bond, • Adheres to both porous and non-porous materials, • Won’t bleed through - surfaces remain unstained, • Safe on all surfaces - non-aggressive solvents, • VOC compliant, • Will not shrink., TYPICAL APPLICATIONS: Bonds the following substrates: • Paper, • Metal, • Fabric, • Most plastics, • Leather, • Rubber, • Cardboard, • Felt, • Polystyrene foam, • Cork, • Foam rubber, • Glass, • Foil, • Wood., DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1. Provide adequate ventilation., 2. Surfaces should be free of oil, dirt and grease., 3. Mask areas that should not be coated., 4. Shake can well. Note: The product does not require a ball agitator. For best results, the aerosol can should be at room temperature before spraying., 5. For a repositionable bond, apply a uniform coat to one surface. After a few seconds, press sprayed item to surface. To reposition sprayed item, start at a corner and peel back. Allow one minute to dry., 6. For a permanent bond, apply a medium coat to both surfaces. Allow to dry one minute before bonding together. For more porous surfaces, bond them while they are slightly wet. Allow one minute to dry., Note: For headliners use Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive. Aerosol product will cover (2 coats) ~ 16 square feet., For Cleanup: 1. Turn can upside-down and spray to clear nozzle., 2. Clean hands with Permatex brand hand cleaners.Q:
