Couldnt believe price for the value and from a large company. All others were going for well over $100 for something like this. Love that it has low charge alert in case it needs to be recharged. Just grab it and pack it to jump most any battery you need. Lawn mower problems? This gets you going. With Winter here I cant imagine how much use it will get. My Dad loves it! As a jumper he said it was simple to use and used it straight out of the box in an emergency even before the initial plug in and charge. No problems. That is however the only thing I didnt like though. You have to plug it in for 36 hrs before using it. Havent come across any other problems yet. Great Item!

My first one had to go back because it would not charge at all. The 2nd one came and it will only charge to 90%. Not worth all the work returning. You need a jump starter you can trust. This product is not it. Shop for another product even if you have to pay $10-$15 more. I don't trust the Peak product line after this experience.

These are garbage. I don't know why Advance would carry this item. DO BUY,, They don't hold charges. Only good for charging your phone in the USB port.
I have had two. The first I returned. The second,,I needed it to jump a mower - nothing...
Don't spend your money on this. Go buy a real one.
Counter gives you nothing but greif when you try to return.

Comments about 900 Amp Peak Jumpstarter:

The first one I bought was broken when I took it out of the package. You need an extention cord to charge it and the male plug on the product was broken to the point you could not plug it in to charge it. This will not be a product that lasts the 1 year warranty but did what I needed. (The second one I had to get). The second one worked fine however I dislike having to go back and exchange. It should have worked the first time.

Worked probably 2 out of the 2 dozens times I needed it and only on my quad (wouldn't start wife's van). Always charged it when warning came and charged it to full capacity but it would never hold. Now it won't even charge. Should of brought it back after the 1st month. Lesson learned....

I was told the unit came uncharged, but the meter read 88%. Tried it, did nothing. Charged overnight, stated Full, did not work. Charged for additional 24 hours (manual states 36 hours max), still would not start the V6.
Might be better to buy a real battery and a trickle charger to keep it ready to go.

                      A:

Hi Michele, glad to assist you! There are two versions of the PKC0AZ Jumpstarter. One unit requires an AC adapter which plugs into the wall and then into the charging jack on the front of the unit. This unit also has a series of lights across the top that identify the state of charge. The newer unit has a built in AC adapter with two fold out prongs which then can be connected to a light duty indoor type extension cord in order to charge the unit. This unit as a digital percentage readout with 2 red number and a blue percentage sign. I have forwarded the manual for both units to your email address so you can take a look on that for more information.

Happy to help, Don! The PKC0AZ-03 has a built in AC adapter with two fold out terminals in the back of the unit that connect to a standard extension cord. The older style PKC0AZ use a plug into the wall AC Charger. The specification on the charger are: 12 V DC and 300 ma output, center positive pin and the pin dimensions are 2.5 mm x 5.5 mm x 12 mm. I would recommend that you check with the nearest Advance store and one of our parts pros will be glad to assist you with an availability of the AC Charger with this specification.
