Comments about Optronics 12VDC 40A Relay:

This is a simple SPST relay and does include terminal 87a which is a normally closed contact. This will not work for applications like trailer converter systems requiring a normally closed contact. Their are no specifications indicating this or any other information. It is rated at 40 Amps now.

I needed a center tap for normally closed like often used in keyless entry/horn/light installation, I guess if you only need a simple relay it would be ok.

This is the closest I can find to the relay switch for my Aerostich Ear Canon air horn, but I know the circuit uses a 30 amp fuse (http://www.aerostich.com/plug-n-play-wiring-harness.html), this relay is rated 40 amp. Will it work for my application?

This could possibly be the problem. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.
