I have used NuFinish at least 15 years and have tried similar products in the price range.Gives good shine and gloss on clear coats. In a 4 season climate, long term protection but doesnt last an entire year as it claims. Water beads nicely at least 4 months with one application.(longer with 2 coats) Also shines/protects chrome ok. Application is easy. Overall process however is time consuming and labor intensive. Must wait an hour for it to dry before buffing off, which requires hard rubbing. On dark colors leaves small specks of polish after initial buffing. Requires more elbow grease to remove them. Not a fancy product but a good product at a good price.

The reviews on here were good too. I got this stuff home and it's awful. It's sticky to apply and doesnt apply like a normal wax. I think gummy and sticky is a better statement. When I went to buff it off it left white dusty residue everywhere and was almost impossible to remove. It also wouldn't wipe completely off no matter how hard I buffed. There's swirl marks all over my paint job.
My paint job isn't crummy. It's shiny. I was just adding protection! And this wasn't my first time waxing a car. I've been doing this for years!

Comments about Nu Finish Liquid Car Polish (16 oz.):
I've used NuFinish for 30 years. I recently tried similar brands but find they last about 10 minutes. My gripe: NuFinish has always left residue on black matte surfaces, requiring Mothers Back to Black touchup.
My new bottle leaves barely perceptible, if at all, residue on black matte on my 2015 Chrysler 200 and like new 2007 PT Cruiser.
Formula change from NuFinish? Will this perceived formula change last as long as the old? I'll watch closely.

Comments about Nu Finish Liquid Car Polish (16 oz.):
I've used NuFinish twice a year for 18 years on my car and the paint is close to new, and my car has never been garaged. The key to applying it is to do one panel at a time - apply and then wipe off. If you apply to the whole car, it's harder to wipe off. It does have a solvent smell, but it's not too bad.

Comments about Nu Finish Liquid Car Polish (16 oz.):
I have used NuFinish on many vehicles and it does work well. It does not give a show quality finish but I always get lots of compliments on my truck. In a pinch I've used it on glass and headlights and taillights. It does tend to waterspot after a rain but the next time you run it through a carwash those disappear. Lasts about four months in the weather we have here.

I used the product on a new paint job after 5 weeks. It was very easy to apply. It dried to a film quickly. It wiped off easily. There was no scrubbing or buffing. The car was washed clean before application.

Comments about Nu Finish Liquid Car Polish (16 oz.):
I have used this product for several years and find it to be the most effective product - EVER. I have severe RA that effects my hands and shoulders and this is the only product I have found that allows me to properly maintain my 2 cars and sailboat. It applys easily and buffs to a lasting finish with very little effort.

This product I used yearly on all my vehicles. It does seem to bead water on the surface for close to one year in our harsh winter environment. Applying again in October does great for the winter months.
Highly recommend.

My children think I'm a little nuts because I wax my cars every three months. I keep a log to remind me when it's time. This product seems to keep it's protection longer than others that I have tried.

Q:
I applied NuFinish to my black GMC Sierra truck and in the process some of the polish spread to the plastic trim adjacent to the metal and caused very visible white discoloration to the plastic surface. What is the best way to remove this without doing damage to the surface?2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Hello Bob! I know it can be a pain to get that white discoloration out of plastic trim. For that we recommend 06141 or 06112. Either one should work to restore that trim so it looks good like the rest of the truck.CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Hi Bob, I'm glad to assist you. The plastic trim is porous and sometimes difficult to remove. The white discoloration you are seeing is the clay that is seen in all car polishes. Use mineral spirits for removing the white residue left behind on plastic trim. Car polishes and waxes contain a cleaner that will leave a haze on plastic trim. You may need to use a tooth brush or an applicator like a tooth brush that can get into the deep pores in the plastic. It could take more than one application, especially if the polish was applied some time ago due to the exposure to ultraviolet rays.Q:
