Good price, they had it on the shelf, I thought blinker switch in steering column was bad. This a lot easier to fix than removing airbag and steering wheel

So would this relay stop the hyper flashing that results from changing the regular bulbs out for LED bulbs?

              A:

I'm glad to assist, Carguy! This Tridon (Novita Tech. Inc) Electronic Turn Signal Flasher (Part No. EP28) is engineered to allow for the use of LED bulbs without the rapid flashing due to the decrease in resistance. This eliminates the need for resistors to be added to the circuit.

Hi Nelson, glad to help you! The turn signal flasher is located under the drivers side dash, near the steering column. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts. The repair manual part number is 24048.

Does this flasher have a fast flash ability when an led has burned out

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

I'd be happy to help you with that! The control side power and ground for flasher relays do not have the bulbs on that circuit. If one of the bulbs goes out, the relay will still turn off and on. It may flash faster with less resistance in the circuit with a bad bulb, but it will still operate.

            • A:

The easiest way to get to the flasher relay is to remove the ashtray. It is held in by 4 little odd black pins located in each corner. They just pull down, not out. Remove the ashtray assembly and turn on your flasher. It should have a strip of foam around it but you can feel it as it clicks if you aren't sure. Remove the foam strip and it pulls out.
