ID was too small by 0.15 in spots. Advance had to arange with a local muffler shop to expand one end of the pipe. Fit great after that adjustment.

Comments about Nickson Braid Flex 2 1/4" ID x 10":

Bought this for my 2000 Camry 4 cylinder. Took the part to a local installer who took 20 minutes total to weld it on. The flexible portion (and total pipe) is longer than stock so installer just cut off more of the existing pipe. Longer flexible portion (~10") is better so as to reduce stress over a larger area rather than the stock 6". Installer had to expand the end diameter a bit as the existing pipe was a little more than 2.25"; installer can expand pipes by 1/2" so you don't have to be precise in the diameter. Total labor was 20 min. or $40 in Northern NJ.

I bought this time to replace a broken flex pipe on a 03 Camry. It fit well and is very quiet I would use it again in a heartbeat. Very well-made, quality craftsmanship! I always go to Advance Auto Parts when it comes to my car repair needs.

Comments about Nickson Braid Flex 2 1/4" ID x 10":

I am giving it 3 stars only because it wasn't any better or any worse than other flex pipes I looked at.Installation was a little difficult because I couldn't get a 8". Settled for a 10". Also couldn't get the correct dia. I needed so I had to weld spacers. Took a full day to install after cutting the old one out, trying to find the correct bushings, and then having to weld my own manufactured spacers in the flex pipe. To make it easier to weld I removed the exhaust manifold and welded the flex on that. Then I installed that and used a muffler clamp on the converter side. Hey, whatever works.

Worked well to replace the rotted out flex pipe on my Camry, needed to bush up to 2.5" for rear section, but saved a ton over a new exhaust.

          • Q:

I want to fit this into my 1997 Saturn SL exhaust. What is the inner diameter on the end that connects to the front pipe and what is the diameter of the end that leads to the cat? It looks like that diameter to the front pipe is larger as it should be. Is that correct? I would think that the front should fit into the flex pipe and the flex pipe should feed into the cat pipe. Yes?
