Comments about Nickson Braid Flex 1 3/4" ID x 8":

Bought June 13th 2013. This is for my winter car and only gets driven from mid-November to March/April. After 1 year(4 months on road), I was working on the car and noticed the nice looking stainless braid was gone. It still was sealing the exhaust with a normal corrugated steel tube underneath but that was rusted and promptly failed during the next winter season. So not even 2 full winters with it.

          A:

Hi Sam, I'm glad to assist you! This is universal and is not application specific. You would have to match one by size to what is on the vehicle that can be fabricated into its place. Its Double-Ply 0.016 gauge stainless steel bellow has 1-3/4 inch inside diameter x 8 inch length and its overall length is 12-1/2 inches. Its 304 stainless steel braid and bellows does not require a clamp, you can weld it to connect. Its expandable nipple design reduce the noise and leaks Economical replacement for worn OE flex connectors.

      • Q:

What sort of clamps work best on this BRAID FLEX 1 3/4 inch ID x 8 inch flex pipe? I just purchased this part to replace the old one on my 1999 FORD Contour SE I-4cyl. The old one installed on my Ford Contour is shot and has a hole the size of a pencil eraser on the weld seam. Very loud. If I cut this one off, what are the parts I need to purchase to clamp the new one back on? Thanks!

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

To clamp this new one on, you will only need the right size clamps and the tools to tighten them.
