Excellent spark plugs! information under the hood of my 2004 Jeep Grand said to use these plugs for replacement and I am glad I did, my Jeep is running smooth now! no more rough idle and misfiring.I pulled out a different kind of plug that was already installed by someone else. I think it's best to use what your vehicle calls for.

The NGK spark plugs were a perfect fit for my 2006 Wrangler Unlimited just as advertised. Installation was easy and during the test drive I immediately noted that the stumbling and hesitation at low RPMs was gone. Very happy with them.

Comments about NGK V-Power Spark Plug:

I was surprised to learn that these are the OEM plugs in my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (4.0L). The emission sticker under the hood specifies spark plug "ZFR5N" which equals stock number 3459 according to NGK's cross reference sheet. These are a little more expensive than the regular copper replacements I initially considered, but I figure you can't go wrong with the factory plugs. Too soon to tell whether fuel economy is meaningfully increased, but the throttle response, starting, and idle feels improved.

This is the best plug for all distributorless (coil pack) 4.0L in Chrysler products. Nothing else even comes close for function or service life.

The ZFR5N is a great upgrade for the older 2.2/2.5 Dodge motors. It puts the electrode a little further in the flame front and helps smooth the engine out and run better.

You have a newer cherokee like me. The 2000 and 2001 models dont have replaceable wires. Instead its like an ignition rail.

                    • A:

The 2000 and 2001 4.0 Cherokees have distributorless ignition, so there are no conventional spark plug wires running from a distributor to the plugs. Instead, there's a coil pack that bolts over the plugs, and between the coils and the plugs are six "boots" that are essentially very short plug wires. They look like the boots on the spark plug end of conventional plug wires. Advance sells them. Look up "coil on plug boot."
