Comments about NGK Nickel Spark Plug (BKR5EKB-11):

This is same spark plug that came from factory on the 1ZZ-FE motors without VVT-i, and these NGK ones are so reliable that I have had one last 30k+ and usually because this is copper 30k is around the time you would change em out. ONLY use double electrode copper plugs on this motor because its specifically asks for it on your valve cover and owner's manual.

Toyota Owners Manual has this listed as a replacement spark plug number.

These plugs work great, can last 50,000 mi. I use these instead of spending extra on platinum or iridium. They last as long as you'd ever need, meet OE specs, and you can just set them to the factory gap. (no need to worry about figuring out a wider gap, like you do with platinums)

They should be pre-gapped however they may have been packaged by someone like me on a Friday Or Monday.

With dual ground plugs check the gap with a spark plug gap feeler guage found in the tool aisle at Advanced.

The service department and/or any qualified mechanic checks the gap before installation regardless unless they are non-adjustable; which these are adjustable.
