Q:Hi this is Martin I have a 2001 cadilac sts. my mechanic says I need a new radiator because of a leak from the raDIATOR TO THE TRANSMISSION. HE SAYS THE LINE CAN'T BE REPLACED BUT I WAS THINKING THAT THIS PART MAY SOLVE MY PROBLEM, AM I CORRECT?
A:The GM oil/transmission cooler lines are prone to leakage after a few years. Your leakage may be at the quick connect seal between the line and the connector on the radiator (rather than between the connector and the radiator). If that's the exact point of leak, this Dorman - OE Solutions Auto Trans Oil Cooler Line Connector should prevent the leak.
Q:my mechanic tells me that my radiator line that goes to my transmission is leaking and that I need a new radiator, but by looking @ the connector maybe all I need is the connector, is this true
A:Yes, this Dorman transmission line connectors are direct replacements and used to connect transmission lines to transmission and radiator. For further assistance, please provide the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle in question.
Q:do i need a special tool for clip on connector
A:Basic hand tool is enough for your project.
