Comments about Needa Parts Fuel Line Repair Kit - 5/16" Connector, 90 Degree Bend with 5/16"x6" Nylon Tubing and Union:

I have a 1997 Ford Taurus V6 Engine.

I needed to replace my Fuel Filter and I purchased 2 quick-disconnect 5/16 fuel-line products (P/N 800-051).

What I received was:
a. 90 degree connector
b. Approximately 6 inches of plastic fuel line(attached to 90 degree fitting)
c. An In-line fuel hose union (pre-clamped to one end of the end of fuel line)
d. One extra hose clamp fitting

By the way . . . it was exactly like the image on your website for this P/N.

Installation was easy after (after I heated the Hose in boiling water to expand it) and it is working fine. No leaks.

Cons: I had to cut the tube (as it was too long and would easily kink) and now I was short one clamp for each unit.

They should provide 3 extra clamps with each unit, one for practice, the 2 for real.

I could not find replacement clamps at any local Auto Store, so I had to improvise.

This product did not fit my 1995 Ranger. The 90 deg. fitting on the product is 5/16 inch, the fitting the fuel tank is 3/8 inch. Did not know this until after tank was lowered, but the part selection section indicated it would was the part for a 1995 Ranger. Returned part for hassle free refund, AA did not have a part that would fit.

The fitting is the wrong size. Dorman does not have the right size for 1994 Rangers. This was a waste of my money. I had cut the tube, so I couldn't return it to the store.

Comments about Needa Parts Fuel Line Repair Kit - 5/16" Connector, 90 Degree Bend with 5/16"x6" Nylon Tubing and Union:

The 90 degree fitting that this needs to replace on the sending unit is 3/8" with a 5/16" line; this is 5/16" & 5/16", so it will not fit. Had to go to the junkyard or the dealer to get the correct replacement fitting since Dorman doesn't make this the right size.
