Comments about National Taper Bearing Set:

These are the correct rear wheel bearings for 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee's with the Dana 35 rear axle. Do not buy the separate bearing and cone ones listed, they will not fit.

Find someone with a press and this is an easy do it yourself job.

I have over 150,000 miles on the last set.

        GREAT PRODUCT!!!

The box says instructions are in he box but they are not. I know I need to get them pressed on but I am not sure which way the bearing should go on. There are 2 sides that look different. Which side goes towards the wheel? I assume the retainer can go on anyway but what about the bearing?

Hi Steve, happy to help! It's a bit tricky to explain the process in this review. If you have a Dana 35 rear axle this is a perfect fit compared to the separate bearing and cone piece. However you will need a press tool to make the process easy. I would recommend checking youtube with the keywords "replace rear wheel bearings on a jeep cherokee" and you will see a few videos which has clear visual instructions on replacing the hub bearing.

One set per wheel. The "set" consists of the bearing and the bearing retainer - sometimes referred to as a sweat band.
