      A:

Happy to help, Kenneth! This National - Part No. 5206 is a manual transmission output shaft kit. To install a new seal, slide it over the output shaft and press it in by hand. Then slowly install the seal until it is flush with transmission housing. You can tap it in using a rubber mallet or a hammer and an extension. Be careful not to bend the seal or seal lip. Then install flange onto output shaft.

  • Q:

Just double checking. This is the oil seal that goes on the rear of the transmission tail shaft that the drive shaft yoke goes into to seal so that fluid won't seep out of the transmission, correct?

Hi Allens340, I will be happy to help you with your question. Correct this seal and sleeve kit does fit the transmission tail housing. We would need to know the vehicle year make model and transmission type to verify if it works for your application.
