            A:

Hi Brian, good question! Both the oil seals 9150S and S-9150S fits your 2003 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0L. Basically there is not much difference between the parts other than the manufacturers. 9150S is manufactured by the automobile aftermarket giant Federal Mogul while the other one is from Driveworks which is comparatively a lesser known manufacturer. Per Federal Mogul the oil seal 9150s come with better low temperature capability compared to most other competitors.

            A:

This National Oil Seal (Part No. 9150S) is a Front Inner Seal. It is used to prevent leakage around valves, shafts, and other moving parts of the vehicle. These seals prevent fluid from leaking out between the shaft and the housing. They have a flexible lip that rubs against the shaft to prevent the leakage or ingress of fluids and dirt. These seals prevent abrasives, corrosive moisture and other harmful contaminants from entering the machines. Yes, this National Oil Seal with Part No. 9150S comes with a Spring-loaded, dual-lip sealing element. Uses two sealing lips, one spring-loaded tightly against the shaft to retain lubricants, the other functioning as a containment excluder.
