  • Q:

I have a 1983 Ford Mustang GT with a 5.0L engine that has the stock Duraspark ignition and stoock pistons. Will I need the optional ballast resistor for this coil? If I need the ballast resistor, where and how does it get installed? Will the high energy spark from this coil damage my stock pistons?
