I got these OEM MotorCraft plugs to replace the plugs in my 98 Lincoln Mark VIII. I did however get one bad plug, causing misfires. I was out of town as it happened on Easter day, but I was able to login to my account, print my order confirmation, and bring it to a store and receive a replacement. No matter what brand of anything you buy, there is always the slim chance of it being DOA. No specific fault of MotorCraft over any other company. Always stick to OEM parts when you can.

Not gapped correctly
This is the new part number for the AGSF32WM plugs. Bought 6 plugs for my 2004 DOHC "S". None were gapped correctly. Anywhere from .042-.052.
Trying Autolite.

Motorcraft replacement parts are designed by the company that made the vehicle. Who knows the car any better than the manufacturer?

AFTER HAVING MANY DIFFERENT CARS AND INSTALLING DIFFERENT MAN UFACTURER SPARK PLUGS,THE CONCLUSION IS THE ORIGINAL OEM MANUFACTURER PLUGS THAT CAME WITH THE CAR WHEN BRAND NEW WILL WORK THE BEST. THESE WERE ENGINEERED FOR THE CAR AND WILL LAST THE WARRANTEE PEROD RECOMMENDED WITHOUT ANY PLUG FOULING OR PROBLEMS. THESE WERE RECOMMENDED BY VARIOUS MECHANICS AS THE BEST ONES TO INSTALL ON MY LINCOLN MARK VIII. THEY TELL ME TO STICK WITH ALL GENUINE FACTORY REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR MY VEHICLE BECASE OF BEING ENGINEERED TO LAST THE RECOMMENDED SERVICE INTERVALS. MANY AFTERMARKET PRODUCTS SOMETIMES JUST DONT HOLD UP. IF YOU HAVE A FORD,LINCOLN OR MERCURY AND YOU CHERISH YOUR RIDE, YOU SHOULD INSTALL THES PLUGS OVER EVERY OTHER ONES FOR TROUBLE FREE PERFORMANCE!

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Platinum Iridium Spark Plug:
Good product by Autolite. I was skeptical at first, as I always replace my Japanese cars with NGK... sometimes Bosch if it's euro car or the SPEC calls for it. But since this 2002 Mazda MPV has a "Ford-built" like engine, the OEM calls for this Autolite SPF 433. So I went with it. No issues at all, just need to check the gap for my minivan, which is 0.054" Starts and drives well.

Q:
I thought my 2004 Mercury Sable 3.0 / 24 Valve came with Double Platinum plugs not Iridium? What if any would be the advantage of Iridium with a car that will get driven about 8,000 miles this year?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
A platinum or iridium spark plug refers to the material that the centre electrode is made from. The advantage of this is that these precious metals are stronger and less reactive than copper and so the central electrode can be made much finer. A standard copper electrode is a couple of millimetres across, whereas the diameter of a platinum electrode is 0.8mm and an iridium electrode can be made down to 0.6mm.Having a finer centre electrode means that the voltage required for the spark to jump across the spark plug gap is reduced as the charge is more concentrated at the tip.Q:

I've bought the SP-433 spark plugs for my 2001 Ford Escape with the 3.0 engine. Is there anything special with installing them ? What to look out for so it's not done wrong or break something. And I did buy the intake gasket set at the same time.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
When replacing the spark plugs, I recommend using the special spark plug socket. Start threading it in, with an extension if necessary. Once you feel that the spark plug and reached the end of the threads, turn the spark plug another half a turn or so and that should be all you need to do.
