Replaced the ignition coil on my Ford Freestar. The coil is on the back of the engine.
The wiper motor and cowl have to be removed before you can get to the coil. I replaced the ignition coil, spark plugs and wires so I wouldn't have to repeat this process. It took almost 2 hours to complete.

ordered online and part was available immediately from local store. it was an exact replacement and fit perfectly. Installation was a little bit of a pain (due to Ford's engine design) but was manageable for a "non"-mechanic

If you look at each wire ans SEE where it goes it will lead to one or more---if it is one--they will lead to one main pack---if not then they have three or six

Sorry, this Motorcraft Original Equipment (OE) Ignition Coil - part# DG532 is not a sprak plug. This is an ignition coil which delivers a spark of several thousand volts to the spark plugs at exactly the right time from a 6 or 12-volt battery. The distributor gets the spark to the right place at the right time in what is called the secondary circuit. The primary circuit initially created the large spark, and at the heart of the primary circuit is the ignition coil. For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
