Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Ignition Wire Set:

I bought this wire set back in 2002. My 4.0L had issues with misfires and a set of OEM Motorcraft plugs and wires solved the problem. 2 foot deep snow - 2 foot deep mud - temps from -15 to +112 - over 100k miles of me running the holy you know what outa that truck and just last week (april 2013) the wires failed!!! Today I bought the exact same plugs and wires again. The truck is again gunning great and ready for the next 10 years/100k miles!

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Ignition Wire Set:

With Motorcraft wires you can be assured you are getting the best without any guesswork. Motocraft parts are used by dealers because warranty comebacks are extremely expensive and the extra quality pays off. These wires for the 4.0L OHV Explorers appear to be durable, top quality replacements.

They are worth a few bucks more, and there are discounts that can bring the price down. These wires are going to last at least 100K, so it is not a place to save a few bucks. I've taken these Factory wires out of cars with 150K and they were probably still usable, but they get damaged when they came off the plugs after all those miles.

Be sure to coat the rubber boots and spark plug ceramic with silicon dielectric tune up grease. Avoid getting the grease on the metal conductor area. This will help you take off the wire in the future AND prevent spark leak.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Ignition Wire Set:

I bought these to replace the wires on my 1992 Explorer. There was motorcraft wires on it when I got it, the truck had 195k miles. I figured if the factory wires can last that long then why not replace them with the same thing. My gas mileage did improve because the old stuff was worn out. For [$]you can't beat the deal considering most of the other wire sets cost the same or close to the same price.
