I replace my fuel filter every 10,000 miles and sometimes sooner. I was extremly disappointed in the OE Motorcraft Replacement part. I removed my old filter and gaskets and starting installing my new OE Motorcraft Replacement Fuel Filter. The filter fit great the problem was from the packaging department the upper large Oring seal had been packaged so that it looked like a Sring yes a Sring. I was angry and reused the old Oring and as expected it leaked. This being my driver vehicle I was forced to drive it whiled leaking to the local Advance and have them unpackage another new OE Motorcraft Filter but it turned out to be the exact same result a Sring. The clerk suggested a Purolator replacement that includes a new filter, seals, and upper retaining housing. Rather than try and get my money back I just payed for the Purolator one and trashed the BRAND NEW OE MOTORCRAFT FILTER. Complete loss for me. I should be refunded by Advance for this. Thats all.

Can never go wrong (well, hardly ever) with parts that the dealer uses. The Motorcraft fuel filter should be changed out on a regular basis... It fits, comes with the o-ring, and is nicely bagged up.

I strongly believe that you should use the OEM filters designed for your vehicle (unless you have performance modifications requiring a different filter.) This filter is easy to install and will do what the engineers of my 7.3 liter Powerstroke desgined it to do.

My experience their are two OE filters that vehicle which is the right one. The wrong size will leak and not seal and cause leakage.
