Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Finewire Single Platinum Spark Plug:
Replaced the older used Motorcraft plugs. Installed after checking the spark plug 0.044 gap onto a Ranger V6 3.0 L engine. Put some high temperature never seize on threads and dielectric grease on the boot and electrode terminal and used the existing wiring harness. The spark plug change got rid of the roughness I was experiencing when the engine idled and the engine ran smoothly through all driving speeds and there was a noticible improvement in the gas mileage. Will have to see how many miles these plugs last in keeping the engine performing well.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Finewire Single Platinum Spark Plug:
On some ford trucks its a pain to install plugs so why not go with the original equiptment plugs. It don't pay to be cheap! These plugs will last 100,000 miles plus, but change before that.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Finewire Single Platinum Spark Plug:
Their's nothing like installing o.e.m. plugs for less than 5 dollars per plug. 100,000 mile intervals makes me worry free cause I trust motorcraft products. Had autolite's before I installed motorcraft and they worked fine but didn't last but maybe 30k miles.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Finewire Single Platinum Spark Plug:
I always use OEM replacement plugs. I have used others when originals were not available, and there is a difference. I have been repairing my own vehicles for 30 years, and you get what you pay for. Go with oem and get the correct heat range plugs.

Comments about Motorcraft Original Equipment Finewire Single Platinum Spark Plug:
Tops broke off the old ones but were easily removed from the wires tube with needle nose pliers without screwing them up.
Old plugs were all worn to a .092" gap and only had a rough idle after a good exercise. For sure I relaced them with the same plug

Q:
What gives with the different 'heat ranges'. The Denso for my 2000 Ford Ranger is 16, Autolite is either F14 or D14 and the Motorcraft is 3.1 answer

Hi there Ford Fan! For your Ranger there is a range of heat ranges that will work. Different manufactures may make their spark plug with a different heat range but as long as it is within that OEM (original equipment manufacturer) approved range then you should have no issue.Q:
