I must confess, I have not been using this product long enough to tell if it is protecting my paint finish... what I have noticed is that it does make a brilliant shine when coupled with Meguiar's wax.
I had been using a wax and wash from rain-ex before and this one created a better and longer lasting shine on my black vehicle.

I believe this was is a little better than the regular Mothers California Gold. Not because of the wax, but the SCENT!!! It's unreal. You have to try it. I don't really purchase wax/wax combos anymore since I use spray waxes but if I ever needed a wax & wax combo, I would not stray from Mothers.

I used this product on my truck and can not be happier with the results. It provides a good wash as well as leaves a great shine for added protection until the next wash.

Hi Thomas, I'm happy to help! Yes, it is possible that you saw a transparent content on this bottle. It does have a tendency to form a slightly cloudier haze as it dries. It will however turn back to its original gold color when you wriggle it slightly. This change will not affect the cleaning property of this wax cleaner.Answered on 3/15/2016 by Solomon from AAP

I'd be happy to help you with that! Yes, you can use a spray on wax after washing your vehicle with this product. This wash & wax is not a full wax; it just brings out the shine from the previous wax you did. I would recommend paste wax for the best longevity.Answered on 8/16/2014 by K from AAP
